New slippers for my chilly feet!
2
With the cooler autumn weather and my old nasty slippers, I thought I’d make my next pair instead of buying new ones. It was actually a really good decision. All I had to buy was the yarn, and one skein was all it took to finish a pair, so I spent less than $5 for new slippers. And it only took two nights worth of work.
Here are some pictures.

Cardigan Ready to be Reborn
0A while back I started work on my first cardigan. I recently started working on it in earnest again and started to get somewhere, which is extremely exciting. However, I checked my gauge and need to start over… my gauge is too tight. At first I was really upset because I feel like I have put so much work into this already. But after considering things more, I realize that there are several mistakes I’ve made that I would love to fix, so this gives me the opportunity to go back and make sure I get it right!
Anyway, here’s a photo of what it looks like right now, before unraveling.
Starting my first cardigan
0Yikes! I can’t believe I am starting my first cardigan. It’s kind of overwhelming. But here goes! To see my project on Ravelry, click here: http://ravel.me/jen52/stqx4
I have chosen to knit the Cerisera cardigan,(Ravelry link here) listed as “Advanced Beginner”. It seems doable for someone at my skill level. I want a nice cardigan that’s not too plain, but not too complicated, either. This looks like it fits the bill. But after beginning it last night, I am hoping it’s not too advanced for me. So far it’s been challenging but not too hard to figure out… let’s hope it stays that way.
I am using Knit Picks CotLin yarn in Cashew. It’s a blend of cotton and linen, so I’m hoping it will make for a light fabric appropriate for all seasons and have a nice drape.

Earbud Pouch
0Here’s my second knitting pattern! It’s obviously a variation on my previous pattern, but it’s different enough to make a difference.
Here’s the pattern: Felted Earbud Pouch
As with the previous pattern, please contact me with errors or other critiques. Thanks!
